    Stop Windows 10 updates


    How to stop windows update? This windows update is tormenting me for months. It keeps on hogging my internet.


    For the last 3 days, this 2019-08 Cumulative Update for Windows 10 Version 1803 for x64-based Systems (KB4512501)(13) attempted more than 5 times installing but failed and boot looped 3 times. After boot looping, an Automatic repair screen appeared and lastly a blue screen with text appeared says "We couldn't complete the updates undoing changes".


    Guys please I need help. I tried doing some Youtube tutorials about stopping Windows 10 updates, but, still no luck.

    That doesn't stop windows update from grabbing them on next run, at least it didn't back in the RTM days. It simply stops a secondary process from installing them immediately.

    How to stop Windows 10 from automatically installing new and updated drivers constantly (particularly for GPU users with stable drivers)

    • Right click "My Computer"
    • Click "Properties"
    • Click on "Hardware" tab
    • Click "Device Installation Settings"
    • Tick the "No, let me choose what to do"
    • Tick "Never install driver software from Windows Update"

    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
