Windows 10: Stop Windows 11 automatically changing "screen projection" setting

I have a Windows 11 pc connected to a tv as a 2nd screen. I use the tv for many other things other than the pc.The bad thing is that every time I turn on the tv, Windows changes automatically the screen projection setting.This is bad because of several reasons:- I'm probably not going to use the tv as a pc 2nd screen, so this will cause a flicker in the pc screen messing with anyone that's using it.- This will change the projection setting in wrong ways sometimes project only in 2nd screen, or settings I don't ever use. This makes the pc screen off and unusable until I got to the pc throught

Windows 11 Projecting to TV Screen

I have downloaded windows 11 and having issues projecting my laptop to a Smart TV. I go through the steps to add the device and am able to project my laptop screen at that time. The issue begins when I want to do it the next time. The only way that I can get it to work, is to remove the device (TV) from my list of devices then re-add it every time I want to project to the TV. There has to be a better way to do this but it is all that has worked for me.

A simple solution but one that works in most circumstances!

1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.

2. In the list of services, right-click Automatic Updates, and then click Properties.

3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.

4. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

5. Right-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service, and then click Properties.

6. In the Startup type list, click Manual, and then click Apply.

7. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.
