    I recently setup a new PC with Windows 11. I have a NAS and mapped network shares using the my NAS credentials without an issue. The problem is that Windows 11 insists on trying to login to the NAS on startup using my Microsoft credentials which, of course, fails. Any idea how I can stop this behavior? As you can see. I have hundreds of failed logins this morning. It's quite annoying and clogging up my NAS logs.

    Here's what I see in the System Information app. I map the network share and Network Connections shows the correct account.

    BUT, after a restart, it changes to the Microsoft account! Why?

    Removing the network shares and credentials (from Credential Manager) did not stop the failed logins.

    I am not having a problem creating the shares. My problem is Windows 11 trying to login to my NAS using Microsoft account credentials on startup even when there are NO shares and the credentials for the NAS in Credential Manager have been deleted.

    It seems like it's automatically trying to connect with my NAS. I see a setting in Advanced Sharing settings that says 'setup network connected devices automatically' which seems like my problem but setting it on or off doesn't appear to make any difference. I'm baffled at this Windows 11 behavior. (Note: I turned off file and printer sharing contrary to the image showing it on.)
