Windows 10: Stop Windows 11 from automatically applying unsuitable compatibility settings

Hello,Whenever I exit a particular PC game Impossible Creatures, I get notified that my computer HP Envy x360, with a Windows 11 Home OS has applied compatibility settings on its own. However, the compatibility settings it applies are unsuitable and make the game unplayable. I then have to manually apply different compatibility settings, only for Windows to override them with the wrong settings the next time I exit the game. I find it quite tedious to manually fix the compatibility settings every single time I wish to play the game and would like to prevent Windows from applying compatibil

A simple solution but one that works in most circumstances!

1. Click Start, click Run, type services.msc, and then click OK.

2. In the list of services, right-click Automatic Updates, and then click Properties.

3. In the Startup type list, click Automatic, and then click Apply.

4. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.

5. Right-click Background Intelligent Transfer Service, and then click Properties.

6. In the Startup type list, click Manual, and then click Apply.

7. If Service status is set to Stopped, click Start, and then click OK.
