Windows 10: Stop windows prompting to setup windows hello

I am prompted by a welcome screen and to setup windows hello every time I boot my computer. I don't want to use a pin, and don't want to use windows hello to sign in, simply a password. By default the first window I see is asking me to open my Microsoft Authenticator App to sign in after I input my password. It's clearly not required, as I'm prompted to do this only after I'm logged in and I can exit out of the setup wizard.

May I know the complete error code or error message that you are receiving when you try to setup Windows Hello?

Do you have any other user account on the computer?

If yes, does Windows Hello work on that account?

If Windows Hello is not setup on other account, please setup it up and check if it works so that we can narrow down the issue for you.

I suggest to remove the pin and setup a new pin on the child account and check if it works with Windows Hello.

Please follow the steps below to remove and re-add the PIN:

• Press Windows logo key + I to open Settings.
  
• Select Accounts.
  
• Click on Sign-in options.
  
• Under PIN, remove the pin. There will be prompt to enter password, enter the password and removed the PIN.
  
• After the pin is removed, please click on
  Add to setup pin for the account.
  
• After setting up a new PIN, try to set up Windows Hello.

windows xp installation and dual core am

could someone please list the steps they follow to install windows with a dual core processor and windows xp service pack to. I'm reletively new to amd dual core and i feel i'm missing a step. All help will be appreciated. thanx

 

Installation media boots to command prompt

I've just booted from known working install media to see exactly what it does when booting. The sequence of events is...

1. Windows logo on a black screen
2. circling dots appear beneath the logo
3. light blue 'Please wait' screen with circling dots
4. a command prompt window (very briefly)
5. the initial Setup page appears

Do you see steps 1-3? If so, it appears you have stopped at step 4, suggesting that something on the disc cannot be read.

Does the disc boot properly in another machine? If so, try cleaning the laptop's drive lens then try booting from the disc again.

If not, make new install media with Microsoft's Media Creation Tool, either as a bootable USB, on an ISO that you can burn to another disc. At Step 8 in Option One of this tutorial you can choose between making a USB or an ISO.
