Windows 10: Stopping auto-updates

Is there anyway to stop automatic updates in Windows 10? I thought I had disabled them, but...well, it happened yet again today. Every single time the system updates, it changes all my settings, location of icons, slows the system tremendously and does other damage. I then have to spend hours undoing this damage and resetting my system. YES, I'm aware of the need for updates to security -yada-yada...but this auto-update stuff is insane! No matter how often I change the time for updates - the damn things try to update at the most impossible times, such as when I'm in the middle of doing a presentation with my laptop (Today) thus shutting down every app. UGH! I've changed active hours, scheduled everything for down time and left my system turned on so that it may update in the middle of the night - it still updates whenever Microsoft decides it is good. Please help!

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

The nine files that are updated all have to do with the Auto-Updater itself.
The article lists them all. No big deal.

I run auto-update anyway, so BRING ON THE NEW UPDATES !!!
I have yet to experience any problems from MS updates on my XP network.
