  1. Storage Pool's drive letter disappears from file explorer - have to reboot to get it back

I have a storage pool of four 8TB HDDs 32TBs in the pool in a 2-way mirror in storage spaces. Periodically, every 2 weeks or so....the assigned drive letter of "P" disappears from File Explorer and none of the files are accessible. Frequently, I have a Microsoft Excel or Word document open at the time and I'm alerted to the underlying issue when I try to save and get a message that tells me it can't save b/c the location doesn't exist.

I fix it by restarting the machine, and I'm good for another few days, a week or more. There seems to be no pattern to the time period before it happens again.

This doesn't seem to happen to my other 2 drives that are not part of a storage pool. One is a 500GB SSD that contains the OS, the other is a 3 TB HDD from my old computer. Again, neither of them are part of a pool....they stand on their own and each have their own drive letter in File Explorer.

What's going on and how do I fix it?????

    :)

    Original Title: File Explorer

I am trying to open File Explorer with my drives listed on the right. I only have the files in the first column and no drive letters are listed.

How to remove a bad drive in Windows 10 storage spaces pool

Could someone list the steps involved in replacing a bad drive from a Windows 10 storage spaces pool? I cannot find any info on the Microsoft support site that is specific to Windows 10. Also, could you list the steps to remove a 'good' drive and replace
it with another drive if the process is different?
