Discus and support STORAGE problem on notepad device. in Windows 10 Network and Sharing to solve the problem; so i am on windows 10 home 64bit and have added 250gb of new storage to the notepad . my original ram was 4gb and the extra 250gb is recognised as...     so i am on windows 10 home 64bit and have added 250gb of new storage to the notepad . my original ram was 4gb and the extra 250gb is recognised as drive D:

    I CAN COPY AND PASTE FILES FROM C INTO D.

    In options it has suggested that I can op for the downloaded context to be stored in drive D: and have selected this option for everything and pressed apply. now when ever I download any large file it stores this to drive C (4GB ORIGINAL DRIVE) I have selected all options to store it on D and did the free up space... it keeps on downloading to drive C. my problem is that the file is 25gb and obviously cancels due to not enough space.

    if anyone could shed some light It will be much appreciated, the file is off a website and does not give me the option on where it wants to be downloaded ie usb…. drive c or other.... it just gets downloaded into main bootup 4gb drive.

    Hi,

    I would suggest you to update your storage controller driver.

    Method 1: Update Storage Controller Driver

    Follow the steps.

    • Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.
    • Expand the Storage Controller.
    • Right-click on the Storage controller Driver
      and select Update Driver Software.
    • Wait for sometime and check if the issue persists.
    • Restart your system.
    Method 2: Uninstall and then reinstall Storage Controller driver from the Manufacturer's Website

    Follow the steps.

    • Press Windows key + X key and click Device Manager.
    • Expand the Storage Controller.
    • Right-click on the Storage controller Driver
      and select Uninstall.
    • Now, go to the Manufacturer's website and download the latest storage controller driver.
    • Once the download is complete, double-click and run the setup file to complete installation.
    • Restart your system.
