Storage sense just deleted 57.2GB of my data, is there any way to see what was deleted?

I was installing a new game and just about to delete another one because my drive was very close to full, before the uninstall completed I get a notice saying Windows has enabled Storage Sense which I had manually disabled before, so I go to the settings to turn it off, only to see that it says it has deleted 57.2 GB of files in the past month, considering it was only on for a minute, that means it just deleted 57.2 GB of my data in an instant and I have no idea what it could possibly have destroyed, that's a ton of my data wiped out without my persmission!

I generally only keep important things and am very diligent in managing my own space, so I know something important has just been lost. I need to know what it deleted so I know if I had it backed up on another drive, is there some way to do this?

    :)

  2. What did Windows Storage Sense delete?

    Hi, Garth

You can not find what was deleted. The only precautious way is having this disabled.

Windows 10 should have Storage sense disabled by default, but you can check and turn off the feature as necessary using these steps:

    1.Open Settings.

    2.Click on System.

    3.Click on Storage.

4.Turn off the Storage sense toggle switch.

Once you've completed the steps, the feature will stop running automatically on your device.

In the event that your device starts running out of space to perform an upgrade or store files, you can re-enable the feature and use these tips to free up space.

    Good luck !

    Explanations for deleted posts?

Like I said, it makes no sense in letting users see deleted posts, even if they are their own. That's why they were deleted in the first place. If they get to see who specifically deleted it, it only serves one purpose. Lets them bitch.

  4. Storage sense just deleted 57.2GB of my data, is there any way to see what was deleted?

What did Windows Storage Sense delete?

Some Windows program called Storage Sense was enabled by default. This Storage Sense told me it deleted 908 MB (!) of my files in the past month without my knowledge nor permission.

How do I determine which of my personal files this unauthorized program deleted? I need to recover them from Carbonite before I lose them forever.
