Windows 10: Storage won't decrease after moving file to another drive

Recently, I purchased an external hard drive to free up some space on my C drive, i transferred my documents and videos and whatever over, and it worked fine, then i tried to move microsoft flight simulator over which is a 193 gb file, it moved over but i noticed the storage on my c drive did not decrease, yes i checked the recycle bin but it was empty, can anyone help?

Decreasing storage space on C:/ drive

Hi over the past couple of days I have had a struggle with storage on my c:/ drive. I have deleted many applications in addition to remvoing 42 gB of files and application to an external harddrive with the ctrl + x - command. Nevertheless I only have about
2GB available at this moment and the number decreases for each minute. I recently removed about 5 gb of applications and therefore i have these 2 gb available at this moment altough it decreases for each minute.

To my knowledge I do not download anything at this moment.

Windows 10 has the option to change the storage location. We suggest that you change the storage location so you can still use your hard drive instead of using the SSD. Kindly follow the steps below on how to change the storage location:

• On the Search bar, type in storage and select the top most result.
• On the Storage screen, change the location of each options to your desired hard drive. The files will now be saved on the specific hard drive.
