Windows 10: Store app not working

My store app quit working and the windows repair tool said I need to download a new app. Does anyone know where to find the app to download it?

Hi Crazyralph, welcome to Ten Forums. If it is a windows store app, then open the windows store click on the user icon and then on downloads and updates.

 

I suspect you may be suffering from a major problem in which a number of apps, mainly but not only Microsoft's, have stopped working or disappeared altogether. More than likely you cannot open the Store app, or even find it. Check other MS apps to see if they work, and go to the bottom of All Apps to a 'new category' called Other. It may have a number of (familiar) Apps with strange names beginning with @. If you don't have any of this you are lucky not to be suffering from this plague, for which so far I have not seen any cure.

 

My store app launches but now since like yesterday, it's failing to update apps... Very odd. 9 apps are waiting for updates.

 

I am really hoping for an update fix from Microsoft. I have just seen the following in the Windows Club forum: "Do you have Windows 10 November Update (Version 1511) installed on your PC? There's a bug in the November Update which causes apps not to work after using re-register feature." If this is recognised by Microsoft hopefully they will fix it soon?
