Windows 10: Store apps failed to update

My store apps failed to update. I went to library of Store and saw some apps needs to update however I receive error that something went wrong. I close and re open store to try again and receives the same. I have run the troubleshooter and log out then log back in then shows the same result as if nothing is resolve by troubleshooter.

Windows Store not updating existing apps but successfully downloads new apps

In order to diagnose the issue, we suggest that you try the following methods:

Method 1: Kindly run the Windows Store Apps troubleshooter.
To run it, follow the steps below:

• Click Start.
• On the search bar, type Troubleshooting, and click on
  Troubleshooting from the results.
• On the left pane, click View all.
• Click Windows Store Apps.

Method 2: We suggest that you manually reset the Windows Store app cache
and then try to update apps again. To manually reset, follow the steps below:

• Click Start.
• On the search bar, type CMD, and right-click CMD
  from the results.
• Click Run as administrator.
• Type wsreset, and press Enter.

Windows 10 fails to update


When you finish testing the Avast suggestion, make sure that you restart your machine.

Then if the issue persists, please return to the trouble shooting list in post# 89

I think there are three steps that remain; the WU troubleshooter, reset WU components, and manual WU reset.
