  1. Store failed to open in 10

I have Windows 10 that I just upgraded a long time ago. I installed the latest update on this PC to make it secure and properly working however I noticed that my MS Store is not working properly. I am using MS Account as well but the Store only opens in seconds then close again. You cant even search and install. Help me.

    :)

Mail app will not open on 10041.

    Hello Adam,

This is the suggested solution below if you haven't already tried it. Store failed to open in 10 :)

In this Windows 10 build 10041, the Mail, Calendar, and People apps may be broken due to a licensing issue with the Store Beta. To get these apps working again, you need to follow these steps:

    • Open powershell as administrator
    • Run the command Get-appxprovisionedpackage –online | where-object {$_.packagename –like “*windowscommunicationsapps*”} | remove-appxprovisionedpackage –online
    • Re-install Mail, People and Calendar from the Store (green tile)

  3. Windows 10 Store opens for no reason by it's self.

    Hi,

To resolve the issue with your Windows Store, we suggest that you reset it by following the steps listed:

    • Press Windows Key + R to open Run.
    • Type wsreset.exe, and click OK.

It will show a command prompt window which is blank, but it is clearing the cache. Just wait for the Store to close and open automatically.

Let us know how it goes.

    Regards.

Windows 10 Store fails with 0x80073CF9

    Hi Aren,

It is possible that the Microsoft Store components are corrupted that's why you can't install or update apps. Since you have done some troubleshooting steps, we suggest that you reset the Microsoft Store. See steps below:

    • Press the Win+R keys to open the Run dialog.
    • Type WSReset.exe, and click/tap on OK.
    • The Store and a command prompt will now open without any message. The command prompt will automatically close when the Store cache has been reset.

If issue still persists, you can also reinstall Store using Windows PowerShell. See steps below:

    • Open Windows PowerShell with admin rights. On the search bar, type Windows PowerShell. Right-click on the Windows PowerShell entry in the result and then click
      Run as administrator.
    • In the PowerShell, copy and paste the following command and then press Enter to execute it.

      Get-AppxPackage -AllUsers| Foreach {Add-AppxPackage -DisableDevelopmentMode -Register “$($_.InstallLocation)\AppXManifest.xml”}
    • Once done, try to open Store and install apps.

Let us know if you have any other questions.
