Windows 10: Store location based on Windows regional setting => Expats can never buy anything in the...

My Windows regional setting is set to a different country to the place where I live. Trying to buy something in the Windows Store, the country and postcode are fixed to my Windows setting.How can I ever buy anything?

Windows 10 Store can not buy apps

To buy an app from the Windows Store in a specific country or region, you need to change the location for your PC, and then add a payment method from that country or region to your Store account.

For example, if you buy an app from the Store and your PC's location is set to the United States, your payment method needs to be one from the United States.

To change the home location for your PC to a specific country or region

I suggest you to follow the steps and check if it helps

• Go to System tray and select All settings
• Click on time and Language
• Select Region and Language
• Under country or region
• Select the country or region for your location from the list.

You might need to restart your PC for these changes to go into effect.

I Suggest you to follow the below steps to run Windows Store Apps troubleshooter

• Press windows + X and select control panel.
• In the search box on top right, type troubleshooter, and then click
  Troubleshooting.
• Select View all on the top left corner.
• Click Windows Store Apps.
• Follow the on-screen instructions to run the troubleshooter.
• Check if issue persists.

I also suggest you to check regional settings and check if the issue persists.

• Press Windows + I to open settings
• Select Time and language
• On upper left portion select Region and Language.
• Check for your region and language.
