  1. Store scoops up storage for a game, then starts to chip off of the rest!

    Hi there,

So I want to install final fantasy 15 from game pass on my PC. I have 135 GB left on the drive I want to install it on. I click install, then I check my storage, and 50 left roughly 86 GB, the size of the game, gone, and I say that's normal it did that with every single game. But then, after it finished 1 GB I check my storage by accident and it's 49! I say maybe I did some calculations wrong and wait for another 100 MB to download, and sure enough, 48.9 GB, soo the store is consuming space even after it allocated space for the game!

    Please help!

    Thanks in advance.

    :)

external storage chip (SDHC card in asus laptop)

    Hi llammp

If you are downloading that game form the Microsoft Store:

Open the Settings App (Gear icon on your Start Menu)

Go to System - Storage - Choose where new content is saved

Set 'New Apps will be saved to' that storage chip

The game should then install onto that chip in a new folder called WindowsApps
