    Stored passwords disappeared


    After updating my PC to windows version 2004 last week I am now experiencing problems whereby I lose all my stored passwords on Google Chrome and cookies and cache are cleared on shutdown. I looked under 'Internet Options' and the "Delete browsing history on exit" option was UNCHECKED so why was it happening? I tried 'checking' it and pressed the 'apply' button and then 'un-checked' it and pressed the 'apply' button again in the hope that this might confirm my intention. I re-started the computer and HEY!!!!!! my passwords re-appeared!!!! BUT that was short-lived because after shutting down and starting up again the next day my passwords had disappeared again AND all cookies and cache had been deleted!!! I tried my method described above again and AGAIN my passwords re-appeared!!! So why does the problem keep happening after shutdown??? PLEASE HELP.

    I see what you mean about the password but i think its a backward step to compromise my Microsoft password to to use the app store

    While configuring outlook password windows disappears

    Hi Ram2694,

    Greetings, if the password windows disappears when configure your account, I suggest you try the follow steps to configure your Office 365 account in Outlook desktop client. in this way, there is no need to type in password in new pop up window.

    1. Please right click on “Start” button > click
      search > type "Control Panel” in the search box.
    2. Find and click the Mail > Click
      Show Profiles.
    3. Click Add >
      type in a custom profile name > then type in your Office 365 account and password >
      Next > Finish.
    4. Start your Outlook with this new profile.

    If it still doesn't work, to better help you, may I know if you configure the Office 365 account or other account type in your Outlook desktop client? Meantime, please provide your detailed Outlook version for us.

    admin password?

    You can reset the Admin Password using Windows XP repair; See Here for step by step.
