Windows 10: Stored passwords in IE11

Running Win 10, IE 11.0.170 New PC, new install bottoms up. Nothing carried forward from the old setup. That kind of a crash.


Did a dumb thing, now I have to dig back out of it. A website that I use regularly needs a login/pwd to do anything useful. The first time I went there IE offered to remember the login. OK, good idea for me. Said OK, then ….

discovered I had a typo in the username. Now, every time I go there I have to correct that typo in the login box.


Need to fix that, don't know how. I think I have to delete that memory of the login attempt so hopefully then the next time I go there I can do it right.


So the question is: Where in Win10 is that username/pwd stored? Is there a means to just delete that entry or better yet, edit it to correct it? If I delete it, do I wipe out ALL stored login name/pwd info? That's a lousy choice!


Guidance needed.

When you type the first letter or two of the username, is there a drop-down AutoComplete list?

Thanks for the quick reply. The settings you recommended were already checked. The issue appears to be with IE11 not saving the Gmail Web credentials which would be used for Gmail auto complete. How do I recover or add back in the Gmail Web credentials?
Any other suggestions would be appreciated.

I see what you mean about the password but i think its a backward step to compromise my Microsoft password to to use the app store
