Windows 10: Strange Characters showing under Reset in Settings > Apps & features > Advanced Options for...

I have just installed the Windows 10 1903 Cumulative Update (KB4515384) and when I looked under Advanced Options for any of the Apps that I have downloaded from the Windows Store, the text under the option to Restore the App is in funny letters, however, before installing the latest Windows 10 Updates. there was no problem with the text.

Missing "Apps & Features > Advanced option"

I recently recovered my windows 10 from the newest update as a lot of my apps are not compatible yet.

Then I realized that many of the windows built-in apps such as Maps, Photos are not working anymore. (They instantly close/crash)

I found a solution online:

1. Open the Start menu and click Settings.
2. Click Apps & Features.
3. Locate and click _______ from the Applications list.
4. Click Advanced option.
5. Select Reset

However, I don't have the advanced option displayed when I choose an app (any app, including functional ones)

Is there a way to fix this? or do I have to "reset this PC"?

On this kind of issue where Windows apps are not working properly, we suggest resetting Windows Store apps by following these steps:

• Open the Start menu and select Settings.
• Select System, and click on Apps & features on the left pane.
• Click the app that you want to reset, and select Advanced options.
• Select Reset.

Thanks for your reply Meredith! I'd suggest you try resetting the app. Here are the steps:

- Click Start and type "apps & features".

- Select Apps & Features.

- Find the Movies & TV app in the list and select it.

- Click Advanced Options

- Click Reset.
