Windows 10: Strange folder renaming issue

I'm currently using Windows 10 pro fully updated,


I have a shared drive, that 4 other PC's access


We have a folder for completed jobs

(job folders are named with last invoice number)

And one for current jobs



When moving job folders between the two

Renaming the folders doesn't seem to stick

Ie.


C:/invoiced jobs/job123

Moved to

C:/current jobs/job123


Once completed,folder is renamed with new invoice number

C:/current jobs/job124

Then Moved to

C:/invoiced jobs/job123



Seems there's a memory of its old name somehow, new folders are fine


It's making a mess of our filing system.

Strange issue with Windows 7

one guess: the funky symbol (the O with the dots) is breaking some programs when they try and install into the my docs folder.

renaming the account wont rename the folder, so i suggest just making a third account without fancy symbols and deleting the second one.
