Windows 10: Strange icon in windows taskbar

Discus and support Strange icon in windows taskbar in Windows 10 Gaming to solve the problem; There is a little white icon that almost looks like the silhouette of a man attached to the lower right hand corner of the apps in my windows taskbar....     Strange icon in windows taskbar


    There is a little white icon that almost looks like the silhouette of a man attached to the lower right hand corner of the apps in my windows taskbar. Any idea what this is? It appears on my chrome tab and two other tabs.

    System Icons on taskbar

    Hi,

    Thank you for posting on Microsoft Communities.

    Are you referring to the clock system icon on the taskbar?

    If so, I suggest you to follow the steps mentioned below:


    • Click on the search bar on the taskbar.

    • Type system icons.

    • Under Turn System Icons ON or OFF, turn On the Clock and check with the issue.

    NIGHTMARE icon in windows taskbar

    Ok ... this is really an annoying thingy in Windows Vista that till today. My top wish list is to solve this !!! *Bang Head :banghead:*Bang Head :banghead:*Bang Head :banghead:*Bang Head :banghead:*Bang Head :banghead:

    See attached pic ... for eg. open My Computer ... icon is of course as shown - the My Computer default Vista icon ... after you browse? *swoosh* kind of black magic ... it changes to that icon with the green arrow ... browsing back to My Computer it remains like that ... with the green arrow!!!

    This happens to any and all folders ! ... When you load it ... it comes up with the default folder ... after exporing through folder it changes ... and remains like that.

    For info : have tried a fresh installation of Vista to make sure that no bug got in. So must be some DAMN Vista settings

    Strange Shadow type Icon/Image Windows 10

    Hi VidhuGour,

    In order to help you with your concern about the strange shadow, icon or image on your Windows 10 screen, you may check and access the icon using the File Explorer of your Windows 10 PC. Follow these steps:

    • Click the File Manager icon from the taskbar.
    • Click This PC.
    • Click the Desktop folder.
    • It should show you that strange desktop icon and its corresponding File name.

    If it doesn't show, you may try changing your wallpaper into a darker type and see if the strange figure would still be there. If it is, then it might be a dead pixel that you currently have on your screen.
