    Strange modem behaviour after 1803

OS Windows 10 HomeSpeedport Internet Modem.
    Before 1803.
    A) Modem through a USB 'dongle' on PC. Everything o/k, could select Auto or Manual internet start by right clicking on the internet icon (bottom right on task bar). Skype however was very bad with broken vid and sound.
    B) Removed USB 'dongle' and connected Modem direct to PC with appropriate cable. Everything o/k, however could NOT select Auto or Manual internet start by right clicking on the internet icon (bottom right on task bar now looks like a small screen) as the only options presented are, Troubleshoot Problems and Open Network Internet settings. Skype however was now excellent. The internet automatic start on boot up was at this time only a small problem but out of interest is there any way to restore a manual internet start option from the PC.

    After 1082.
All as in B above except now on booting my Speedport goes through a reset procedure not allowing me to use internet or telephone for about 60 secs. On shutting down the PC the same occurs. Any ideas on this one.

    :)

  3. Strange behaviour , disk usage to 100%

My windows 10 machine is showing some strange behaviour since this morning. In the morning when I started my laptop, it was very laggy and sometimes irresponsive. When I opened the Task Manager it showed me my disk usage is 100%. When I looked under processes,
System and Compressed memory was hogging on the disk usage. After about an hour when I checked again, windows exporer.exe was taking up all the memory, again after 1 more hour Nvidia streamer service was taking all memory and then I left for work with my system
on. When I came back (after about 9 hours) the disk usage is still at 99% and now Windows Anitmalware executable is hogging onto the memory. I cannot understand what's causing this strange behaviour. I even tried to reset my system completely but it also failed
saying the reset process could not be completed (after 30%). How can I resolve this issue? I don't care if resetting the system is the only solution even if it wipes all settings and app as long as it works.

Here is a screenshot of the task manager at the time when I returned home:
