Windows 10: Strange observation upgrading Win 10 to Win 11

Background: A year or so ago we replaced my wife's laptop with a new Dell Inspiron with Win 10 installed. As part of the initial startup, it prompted for a Microsoft account, so I gave it my credentials. After the initial installation I created a local account for her. Later, I made that local account an administrator.Eventually, we started getting prompted to upgrade to 11. So, using her local account that has admin authority I kicked off the upgrade. It downloaded, but the installation stopped with an error. I don't remember the exact code, but I couldn't find anything on it when sea

For those who have upgraded from Win 10 to Win 11, did the upgrade affected your already installed development environment i.e.

Upgrade to Win 11

Trying to upgrade laptop to Win 11. My processor is listed on Microsoft compatibility list as one that will work with Win 11, but the health check says it won't and therefore will not allow upgrade. All other items on list are ticked green. Any advice please?

I can't upgrade to win 11. says my CPU not compatible I have a( I7 6700k). It is listed as one that is compatible
