Windows 10: Strange: Password attempted too many times and CHKDSK on start up.

Problems:

• Login is saying I have entered my password incorrectly too many times, even though this is not the case no one else uses my Computer.

• Computer ran a check Disk on start up which I have never had before.

Is there another update issue anyone knows about?


Steps i've tried:

• Virus and malware check. no Issues
  
• CHKDSK and SFC Scan on powershell no issue

Long boot time and passwords missing

The only reason I mention the account is that a Windows update recently was causing people to be signed into a temporary account, your password manager may be installed for all users but the list of passwords would be user specific, therefore the blank password list suggests a different account. *Smile

hmm i miss asdf in that list .. i use that a lot .. up to asdfgh depending on password length enforcement rules.

chkdsk c: /F

It might be an error on the drive. We suggests that you follow the troubleshooting steps below:

• Run Disk Cleanup utility to clear your junk files.
• Open an elevated CMD type sfc /scannow and hit Enter to run the System File Checker.
  
• Once the scan is completed, restart your computer. Remember to exit ChkDsk
  during boot.
• Next, again open CMD as admin type
  Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth and hit Enter to repair the Windows image.
• Now see if ChkDsk able to complete the scan.

Note: Before doing the steps, make sure you save a back up of your files.
