Strange problem getting to 1 computer on the network, but not the othr

There are 3 computers on the network:
    computer names:
    Wired - Main, and Tower
    Wireless - ASUS

So Main can communicate to the other two.
Tower can communicate to the other two.
ASUS can only communicate to Main, but not Tower.

The network diagnostics comes up with what I find to be a common issue: 4

And going into the details I find:

I've tried some of the things I've found on this error, such as netsh winsock reset, and a couple others. I found some that had info on editing the registry, which I have not attempted as of yet.

So, I find it interesting that the ASUS (on wireless) can communicate with one of the computers but not the other, and the others have no problem communicating.

Thought I'd check to see what folks think here before I chase too many attempts.

    Thoughts?

    :)

  3. I can see the other computer on the network but cannot connect to it / Windows 10

    Hi Wendy,

To better assist you with your concern, please clarify the following information below:

    • Are you trying to do a remote access from a computer to another, or are you trying to connect to the network through another computer?
    • Were you able to do the same set up before?
    • Are you connected to the same router?

    Keep us posted.

    No thoughts at all...interesting.

I guess I'll renew chasing the myriad of things I had found. I'll do a good backup first. If I find a resolution, I'll post it back here in case someone in the future has the same question.
