Strange problem. Lenova C940 Adapter plugged in = LAG/DC %2B%2F8TGz7my3DBDnnqAxxQrYNP1pCe0dBsfEYj5eHP4NFIsqLwuu1F%2BxNPvP9jwo2It%2BV6%2B52B53GHCes0Hq8%3D.jpg

    Hello,

I hope someone has insight into what is causing this issue and how to resolve it.

I have tried all possible troubleshooting steps.

    The problem:

It began approximately two weeks ago while playing a game.

The game started lagging and disconnected me from the internet which seemed strange to me.

    This occurred consistently.

I discovered that when I unplugged my adapter, the issues disappeared—no lag, no disconnections. Without the adapter, it seems the GPU switched to Intel Graphics, as the FPS dropped from 60 to 30 but caused no further problems in-game.

I also observed significant lag when opening YouTube, making it challenging to open video's at all.

Since these problems persisted after reinstalling drivers, my initial thought was to use a restore point, but unfortunately, I didn't have one. Therefore, I opted for a fresh clean install.

    What I have already tried:

    • Fresh installations of both Windows 10 and 11 (I tried both).
    • Installation of all possible drivers from Lenovo. (Lenova Vantage) / And from the website.
    • Updating Windows drivers.
    • Installation of the latest Intel drivers.
    • GPU drivers (Also the newer one with Geforce Experience)
    • Using Driver Booster to update all drivers.

(As last resort to see if there were any updates i missed as Lenova's are pretty outdated.
    • Trying different power plan settings.
    • Resetting BIOS settings.
    • Replacing my older battery.
    • Purchasing a new adapter.
    • Cleaned the inside.
Restarting the laptop seem to resolve the issue temporarily. (This is not a 100% success that it works)

Problem appears to occur randomly but consistently requires a restart to resolve.

I hope someone is able to help.
