  1. STRANGE PROBLEM: Windows 10 Updated Itself to Version 21H1???

Hi all, Okay so I dont know why, but my Windows 10 Pro PC has apparently downloaded the 21H1 Update. It's not fully updated as it says this in the "Settings": "Feature update to Windows 10, version 21H1 Status: Pending Restart" The problem is I never clicked the "Download and install" button... so I dont understand why it downloaded the update and installed*? It hasnt fully installed yet as it says Restart now. Ive been wanting to restart for a few days but Ive held off because I dont know if its safe to restart? What does this mean? Thank you. EDIT: Fixed text

SEVERE PROBLEM: Is Windows 10 Update Version 21H1 more secure?

You are two Version updates behind.
In the beginning there was Version 1507,
    then there was Version 1511,

    then there was Version 2004,
then there was Version 20H2 [which would have been called, under the old numbering scheme, Version 2009],
    then there was Version 21H1,
and, in late 2021, there will probably be Version 21H2.

But that is not necessarily of any concern -
    - I've seen people mention very recently that they have only just updated from Version 1909 because it has gone out of support
    - There are no doubt lots of people still on Version 2004

    Issue(s) with 21H1 Update

The Windows update list of installed updates has always been a confusing & incomplete list. I don't think you had a problem at all.

STRANGE PROBLEM: Windows 10 Updated Itself to Version 21H1???

    Windows 10 Tweaks

Pressing “Windows+Pause Break” (it’s up there next to scroll lock) opens the “System” Window.

Windows 10: In the new version of Windows, Explorer has a section called Quick Access. This includes your frequent folders and recent files. Explorer defaults to opening this page when you open a new window. If you’d rather open the usual This PC, with links to your drives and library folders, follow these steps:

    • Open a new Explorer window.
    • Click View in the ribbon.
    • Click Options.
    • Under General, next to “Open File Explorer to:” choose “This PC.”
    • Click OK
