    Strange system settings reset from wake or restart


    I've been getting a strange reset of system wide settings upon awake and restart . When I say system wide , I mean desktop , various Windows settings/programs , and Game settings / Data . I have scanned for malware / viruses . I've done a few hard drive error checks . I've also looked at the Event log , but have found no reason why it does this . It has done this for the past few months . I'm trying to avoid doing a system restore or fresh install . Anybody have any suggestions?

    "no bootable device - please restart system" - intermittent issue after windows 10 upgrade

    After upgrading from windows 8.1 to windows 10:'no bootable device - please restart system' error message when trying to wake up computer after it goes on standby.

    The strange thing is that out of three computers all Acer aspire S7 391, two computers upgraded perfectly, but only one computer had the issue described above.

    In Windows 10 I am no longer asked for my password on startup, only my finger print works

    I go to sign in options and see a choice for when the computer wakes up (when computer wakes up from sleep or never). It was already set for when it wakes up .... Before on computer start up i could use either the password or finger scan. Now on start
    up only the finger scan works yet after getting in windows the password works after wake up. Strange.
