Windows 10: Strange wifi issue (win10)

A few days ago, the wifi on my desktop would no longer work (windows problem solver: can't reach DNS server). I tried a load of different fixes I found on the internet but none would work.

Eventually I just loaded a system "restore point" of a few days old (sorry if this is not the proper english term for it, my computer is in dutch) and it was solved. I assumed it must've been a faulty windows update so I put a delay in the next windows updates (assuming it would be fixed the next time it updates) and thought nothing of it.

However, the exact same problem reappared today. I haven't had any windows updates yet so that can't be it.

Would anyone have a clue what it could be? I don't want to be stuck reloading restore points every couple of days...



I'll update this post with necessary hardware specs when my pc is done rebooting.

Edit: I didn't download or update anything (that I know of). All I do on my desktop is some games and watch youtube. Anything "important" is on my laptop anyways.

Edit 2: A friend informed me it could be an issue with a hosts file?

Edit 3: system reroll thingy done, it's "fixed" again (so i'm 99% sure it's not a hardware issue..)

Strange wifi issue with win10

So I have a strange issue with win 10 on my laptop.

A few days ago I had problems with my wifi so I decided to reset the entire system.The wifi worked, then I brought my laptop to school, worked again. But then when I got home, it cannot detect my home wifi.

I did the netsh int ip reset, things are solved.

but then things got ridiculous today. I brought my laptop to school to study, then I left for 30 minutes. Come back the the exact same room in the library, and there is no detection.

and netsh int ip reset is like failing cuz it says there is no user specified settings to be reset. I pretty much tried all the netsh commands I can find. So I am not sure how i should go about this.

That's what the auto setting will do since you're over the 1333 mark it jumps to the next step which isn't listed or officially supported I assume by that ram.

At this point though I would suggest dropping the multi one step or .5 so that we can get something stable and possibly take the heat issue out of the picture for now.

I pretty much tried all the netsh commands I can find. So I am not sure how i should go about this.

btw it seems like my wireless adapter is also missing somehow, I cant find it in device manager
