Windows 10: Streaming video from W10 Pro through a Roku 3?

OK...

Have two Roku 3 units connected on the same wireless LAN.
I want to stream video to the TV via the Roku 3, from this W10 Pro box.
Figure Wireless-N speeds due to the Roku 3.

Is it possible? If not, feel free to suggest an alternate solution at the lowest cost.

Hi there

1) Have you enabled Media streaming in the settings.
2) I think you need some type of application to start the Roku service --have you started it.

I use MEZZMO for my Media streamer so I can stream from Computer (server) to TV's around the place -- you need to ensure any DNLA flags are enabled so the devices you want to play on can see and access the DLNA server (in my case MEZZMO).

3) you might need an exception in the firewall but the application should sort that out.

Is your ROKU stick in the computer or on another device like a TV.

Note the ROKU device needs an MHL port to function.

Windows 10 Toshiba S75 laptop won't connect to a Roku 3 streaming box.

I read on one of the internet forums that the problem lies with the Intel HD Graphics 4000 driver not being able to support Miracast? There is a Roku app that will let me project pictures, video's, etc. from my PC to the TV. What I was trying to do was
stream movies from hoopladigital.com's (available through public libraries) app on my laptop to my TV. Hoopla does not yet have an app for a Roku box. You can run their app on your PC, smartphones or tablets. They just do not have an app for any of the
streaming boxes as yet and suggest mirroring which does not work on older Windows 10 PCs. Thanks anyway.

 

Roku 3: Setting an audio driver default

Has anyone had problems setting an audio driver default? I have a surface pro 3 that I want to mirror to a TV using a Roku3. The Roku 3 loads the audio driver along with the video that is working. I think the audio driver is written by Microsoft. The driver
info says working and ready but when I select it default nothing happens Any suggestions?
