  1. Stressing the CPU repeatedly causes BSOD HYPERVISOR_ERROR

I recently openend a thread with similar title, but my previous issue was not yet solved and now I've started experiencing BSODs on different circumstances before it was rendering videos; now it is running simulations on Metatrader 5.I often run simulations on Metatrader 5 which are quite CPU intensive, and after a while I will get a BSOD with error code HYPERVISOR_ERROR.I've tried debugging the matter but so far I did not find the reason behind this. Below are the logs and core dump. Here you can find the output of the !analyze command on WinDbg.Here you can find my mini core dump. Here you

PC reboots (no BSOD) on CPU stress

    Hi fellow TPU members,

not too long ago, the box my gf's PC was transported in gave way on the stairs. Yes, you got it right, that sent a PC tumbling down a flight of steps alright.

Stuff broke. Also, stuff remained intact somehow.

I bought her a new case, new CPU cooler and we removed the floppy drive, so far so good. But the PC started crashing for no apparent reason, without a BSOD.

    I tested:
    • Memtest86+, left overnight, 0 errors
    • Scanned the HDD for errors, nothing there
    • Left FurMark burning up the GFX card and drawing some power, no problems there
    • Ran Ubuntu from a Live CD doing nothing special, didn't crash
    • Ran OCCT, Linpack, Prime95, all 3 caused reboots within minutes
    • Oh, and I disabled "Restart on error" so I'm sure it's not a BSOD.
Now, I can still try and test something CPU intensive on Ubuntu, but my guess is the CPU didn't survive.
Before I do anything drastic like whippin' out the magic wallet and get her a new AMD quad, is there anything I didn't see?
I'm guessing the motherboard could be borkered as well, but can I check that other than replacing the CPU with a working one?
Any suggestions on which proggies I can use from an Ubuntu Live CD to stress the CPU?

    Windows 10 BSoD HYPERVISOR_ERROR

I originally upgraded my Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center using the "Media Creation Tool".

I used the Windows "Reset" tool in the "Update & Security" section of settings after receiving a KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED BSoD that eliminated the possibility of returning to Windows 8.1 Pro with Media Center and also lost the ability to reinstall "Windows
DVD Player" (See "Windows 10 Pro Blue Screen Error" post on 8/15/2015).

I have not had any problems with the system until the HYPERVISOR_ERROR BSoD on 8/25/2015. I have since received the same HYPERVISOR_ERROR BSoD today, 8/26/2015 before receivng your instructions.

I followed your instructions for the HYPERVISOR_ERROR BSoD to uninstall and reinstall the AMD Radeon R9 270 Display Adapter driver to the latest Catalyst 15.7.1 version for Windows10 (64 bit).

I have turned off Windows Defender because I repeatedly get the Windows Update for the same Defender Definition but Windows 10 Pro turns it back on automatically after a restart.

I will let you know if I get the BSoD again since the Display Adapter driver update.

    SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION and HYPERVISOR_ERROR BSOD's

    Hello,

In the past few weeks, I've been regularly experiencing BSOD's, typically SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION and HYPERVISOR_ERROR with BlueScreenView blaming ntoskrnl.exe

I've already tried the following (in order):

    • Complete re-install of Windows 10, followed by the bare minimum of software
    • Complete driver re-installation with Driver Easy
    • Removal of 1 RAM DIMM, which seemed to work out but despite that, I had another BSOD today.
    • sfc /scannow, did not find any integrity violations
    • chkdsk doesn't return any issues
    Also:

    • Memory diagnostics did not return any issue
    • SMART values of the disks are all right. Only the disk with the D: partition on it is showing some ageing, but it only has Steam games on it and the BSOD's happen outside gaming so that shouldn't be relevant.

What's next to try? Any info to add?
