Windows 10: Struggling to activate new motherboard Z790 on NVMe SSD install

Hi. I recently upgraded an old pc to a new motherboard. Specifically, I purchased the ASUS TUF GAMING Z790-PLUS WIFI. The PC originally had two SATA HDDs installed, a 120GB SSSD and a 1TB HDD. When I installed the new motherboard, the windows 10 OS struggled to accept the hardware: specifically the network adapters both WIFI and Ethernet did not function. I tried to update drivers from the ASUS website downloaded to a flash drive from another pc and that didn’t work either. I think because the version of windows was too told. New PC, first Windows install - BIOS recognizes M.2 NVMe SSD, Windows installer doesn't

I am open to any suggestions, regarding installing OS on new PC.
I still have 2nd PC with lenovo motherboard, tried to do the same thing as with the b550 and had the same windows install loop.
Idk what i'm doing wrong. Is there perhaps other way to install OS on the new nvme ssd?
Maybe installing windows on new ssd, while being in another windows with my old ssd at the same time?

Tried this, and windows still didn't see the nvme ssd. It was a brand new nvme ssd right out of the box. Nothing works.

 

Re-installing windows 10 on new NVMe SSD

I am about to upgrade my HP laptop with a NVMe SSD. My laptop came with pre-installed windows 10 Home Single language in HDD.

I want to install windows 10 into NVMe SSD. I like to know the safest process involved to do so. I went trough some website suggesting to use third party software to clone the OS , do some changes in BIOS setting. Can I just make a recovery USB from recovery
drive in windows and then boot the laptop and install OS in NVMe and format the C drive in HDD? OR is there any other way ?
