    Stuck at 89% while updating to 1903


    Hi,

    My problem is that when Windows tries to update, the updates get stuck at 89%, lock up, and then undo themselves. I have tried the troubleshooter, and unplugging any external hard drives. Then I spoke to a Windows Advisor who told me to run a scan with the System File Checker. That returned no errors. He transferred me to a Windows Advocate who went in through Logmein and she deleted a bunch of temporary files and then downloaded the Windows Update Assistant All of these don’t fix the problem. I’ve spent the majority of the day trying to fix this.

    Windows update stucks at 89%.

    I have tried all of that. The Update Troubleshooter said problem solved. I have done the component update. It still sticks at 89%. I am running Windows 10 home and have not successfully updated for 14 months so its getting worrying.

    Are there any fixes which actually work?

    • my update 1903 has been stuck at 99% for 4 hours now. It say downloading. Yet nothing is. Has CPU maxed. Please advise
