Windows 10: Stuck at LoginUI.exe popup

Hi,I started my laptop today and it started disk check and repair. After completion it is now just showing a black screen with a popup of LoginUI.exeI tried waiting for a long time but nothing seems to happen, it is just stuck. Cursor is blinking and I am able to move the popup around but I don't see any error.

I would give the other 3 options mentioned in the first guide:

• STEP 3: Use HitmanPro to scan for malware and unwanted programs
• (Optional) STEP 4: Reset the browser settings to their original defaults
• (Optional) STEP 5: Double-check for malicious programs with Zemana AntiMalware

And I would start with Step 4, resetting your browser

 

Application popup: regsvr32.exe 0x0000000000000000

On Windows 10 build 14393 I continue to get the following popup and corresponding entry in system event log:

"Application popup: regsvr32.exe - Application Error : The instruction at 0x0000000000000000 referenced memory at 0x0000000000000000. The memory could not be written."

Any thoughts on to resolve, and make it go away???
