Windows 10: stuck before mobo upgrade - I cant link my Win11 digital license with my Microsoft account

HI All, I am in the middle of upgrading the motherboard and CPU of my custom built PC. I have checked the System / Activation / Activation state and iot says its activated with a digital license. Win11 pro N upgraded from a previous Win10, previously a Win7 . I was not logged to my Microsoft account when I activated my Windows the first time. Now I have read the corresponding MS article "Reactivating Windows After a Hardware Change" https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/reactivating-windows-after-a-hardware-change-2c0e962a-f04c-145b-6ead-fb3fc72b6665 saying that I have to link my

I cant see the option to link digital licence with microsoft account. I actually upgraded from a retail version of Windows 7 ultimate to Windows 8.1 by paying then to windows 10 pro.

Hey, I have a question.
Do you think the digital license is saved on my MSA after i changed back to my local account?

What I mean by that:
I Added MSA to my Windows 10 and it said in Activation tab "Windows is activated with a digital license linked to your Microsoft account", and my PC was in device list of my MSA.
But I don't like the fact that I have to type in password every time I boot up. It's my private PC, I don't need password, I never had. So I switched back to my Local account. But now it's back to "Windows is activated with a digital license" only, and the PC is also gone from the device list on my MSA account.
Do you think it actually unlinked the license, or maybe because I logged in once, it saved anyway, and I will be good with activating in the future on a changed machine?
