Windows 10: Stuck in windows 11 safe boot with non-functioning monitor

My Asus g513qm internal monitor is broken. I booted into safe mode to run diagnostics without knowing it doesn’t allow external monitors. How can I exit safe mode. I tried using bcdedit /deletevalue {default} safe boot and I get to a blue screen. Since my monitor only display 10 rows of pixels I can’t navigate it. If I can delete safe boot as a default boot mode, what is the cmd command to change the default to normal boot. I don’t know and can’t find the cmd command. I hope you can help. Thank, you

Get out of Safe Mode with non-functioning monitor?

Hello, I was trying to troubleshoot a laptop with a malfunctioning monitor (nothing but grey and white lines). I was using an external monitor and put the computer into Safe Mode (in windows 10, through the configuration settings) not realizing that a) the
external monitor will not work in safe mode, and b) the computer will continue to reboot into safe mode until the settings are changed, which is not possible because I can't see the screen.

I found another forum post with an answer to this question here: Redirecting

On that site the following text commands are advised:

1. Press Windows + R, type cmd and press
   Ctrl + Shift + Enter to open
   Command Prompt on administrator level.
2. Type the command below and press Enter.
   
   bcdedit /deletevalue {default} safeboot
   
   

This command-line will remove safe mode as the default boot mode. Your PC will start normally on the next reboot.

However, I have tried this repeatedly with no success. Is there something else to these instructions which I am not understanding? Or any other way to get out of safe mode? Thanks for any assistance!

 

Computer got stuck on Safe Mode

Sorry for the delay in response.

As your computer is stuck in Safe Mode, try these steps.

• Press Win + R key on the keyboard and in the run Window type
  msconfig.
• Click the Boot tab and uncheck Safe boot if it is selected.

Boot into Safe Mode on Windows 10  


I am stuck in Safe Mode in spite of following all the suggested steps to go back to Normal Startup - Like opening file location of msconfig.exe & running as Administrator. The computer I am trying to get out of safe mode has just been updated from Windows 7.
