Windows 10: stuck on auto repair screen and c:\ drive says it's corrupted and unreadable how to fix this

I recently updated my system from the Microsoft usual windows 10 updates and later installed Picarts app from the Microsoft store on my Hp pavilion laptop and while using it the entire laptop screen froze and I forced shutdown the laptop. From that point forth everytime I turn it on it goes directly to the auto repair screen and I tried uninstalling the updates from there but it says that uninstalling cannot be done cause the system encountered an error. I tried restoring the system to a point where it was working smoothly but it says I have no imagery to restore the system back to any point.

this happened after I closed computer for the night and reopened it the next morning

keeps saying to fix computer needs to restart ....restarts....then i get blue screen with other options. Tried to do system restore...pulls up options ....box to check to restore drive c ...but i can not check box....HELP!

 

SOLVED! C: drive structure corrupted and unreadable after update in Windows 10

I have encountered the error while using my PC, with Edge only.

After the error it is rendered unbootable, everytime I boot, it shows the Dell logo and Preparing Automatic Repair and boots into the Automatic Repair.

Automatic Repair couldn’t repair your PC

Then the Advanced options

Choose an option section.

I checked in the Troubleshoot > Command Prompt and changed to C: drive.

In the cmd window,

Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.15063]

X:\Windows\System32>C:

The disk structure is corrupted and unreadable.

I checked in diskpart,

list volume

Noticed volume 0, drive C shows a RAW file system and a Healthy Status

 

Stuck in auto repair loop

If the screen is stuck for a long time on auto repair, I suggest you to restart the computer using power button and check. If the issue still persist, I suggest you to check if you are able to boot the computer into Safe Mode environment and check.

To use a Safe Boot option, follow these steps:

  Restart your computer and start pressing the F8 key on your keyboard. On a computer that is configured for booting to multiple operating systems, you can press the F8 key when the Boot Menu appears.

  Select an option to “Safe mode with networking” using the arrow keys on the keyboard when the Windows Advanced Options menu
  appears, and then press ENTER.
