    Stuck on initial Windows setup cannot go further than choose secondary keyboard but


    I am trying to setup a new laptop. When I am going through the initial windows setup I am able to choose country, language, and intiial keyboard. The next screen says will you like to choose a secondary keyboard but there are no options on the screen and unable to advance from this. I have tried to reboot but can only go as far as that screen.

    Thanks for providing the update on the results of the troubleshooting steps we suggested. We would like to clarify a few more points using the questions below before we proceed with the next steps we can take:

    • Since you mentioned that the PC does not have an option to boot from a USB drive, what happened when you set the PC boot priority from the optical drive that has the installation disk you created?
    • Did the optical drive containing the installation disk load and then you still got stuck at the initial setup screen asking you to choose your language and other preferences?
    • Also, we would like to confirm if there were any error message when you attempted to boot your PC into safe mode?

    Since you mentioned that aside from the USB ports on your computer there is another way you can connect a keyboard and mouse, we would like to request if possible that you test the other connection option so that we can get into the repair options available
    in Windows 10 first. Once we're successful we'll proceed with the steps to update the device drives on your computer.

    Stuck in “choose keyboard layout” loop

    My Acer laptop running Windows 10 is stuck in a choose keyboard layout loop.

    Every time I select the US keyboard the laptop just shuts down and reboots.

    It then comes back to the Choose keyboard layout page.

    Is there a way to fix this that doesn't involve a whole lot of complicated steps?
