Windows 10: Stuck on "Letting your ink dry..."

When using the Photos app, which has been reset and re-installed numerous times at this point, I cannot save a video once I have added "ink" to it i.e. drawn using the pencil/pen utilities. After being asked where to save the file, the program screen gets stuck on this:

For additional context, the original file is over 3MB in size, and is the trimmed version of a larger video over 80MB. My Photos app can trim and save a copy of a file, and can also make a slow motion version of videos, but cannot save a video with ink on it. I have also gotten the error code 0xc10100be when opening the file while trying to troubleshoot this.


I have tried to fix this by unblock the file/changing the security blocking settings, resetting/restarting the Photos app, and resetting my laptop multiple times after making additional changes to settings... Nothing has worked. Any help would be deeply appreciated.

Ink Cartridges keep drying out

I only use my printer very occasionally and whenever I do the ink is usually too dried out to print. Any suggestions? I've heard somewhere that you should print a full colour page once a week to avoid this happening but that seems a bit wasteful as ink is the 7th most expensive liquid.

I had the same problem. I finally threw it away and bought a cheap B&W laser. (With laser printers the ink is already dry.) *Smile Also, the cost over it's lifetime is much, much cheaper for a laser printer than an ink jet. The manufacturers sucker you in with cheap initial pricing, knowing that you'll spend a fortune on cartridges.

If I really need color (like hardly ever), I print it out at work or go to Kinkos. In the long run it's much cheaper and time effective for me.
