Windows 10: Stuck on preparing automatic repair and then the windows logo when trying to boot from USB

When i booted up a few seconds after the computers logo appears it crashes and reloads into the 'preparing automatic repair' screen. I left this for a few hours but it appears to be frozen, after reading through a few ways to get around this with no luck i decided it would be easier to just format the pc through usb boot as my data is pretty much backed up.After loading windows 10 from a laptop on to the USB i plugged it in to the pc set boot priority to the USB and booted up again, this time the windows logo appears rather than the automatic repair but it freezes on the logo and nothing happe

Windows 10 random automatic repair after changing boot priority.

Hello. So i have an Windows 10 Pro. Sometimes when i am changing in bios boot order from USB to HDD ( SDD ) windows starts booting with AUTOMATIC REPAIR and then restarting. Is this something with BIOS \ Windows 10 bug related? Tested on pc and on laptop , and sometimes it doing the same.


Situation on PC first,listen:

Few days ago after i change boot in UEFI BIOS from USB to SSD.
Then Windows 10 showed at 1 boot Automatic Repair.
When starting Windows 10 boot loader starts by "preparing automatic repair" and diagnosing pc.
Interesting is that if I restart Windows (after procedure mentioned earlier) it will boot normally. This startup problem was occured only when starting system again after shutdown or restarted pc from windows.So i was needed 2 boots to boot properly to windows.
But on pc, format was needed to remove completely issue and after format is fine.

Pc :
2x8gb Kingston Hyperx 1600mhz DDR3
SSD samsung Evo 250 gb
4790k stock
Asus Sabertooth Z97 Mark 2 with UEFI BIOS


Now laptop with old standard bios:
On laptop i made the same operation, change boot from USB to HDD and on first boot Windows 10 shows Automatic Repair. But it happened once and i cant reproduce. No format was needed.

laptop is very old with 2gb ram

Why on pc format was needed when on laptop not?

Preparing automatic repair black screen afterwards stuck

Fixing this gaming PC for a friend. His computer gets stuck on the windows logo with the dotted spinning circle. In the past to fix this i've done a startup repair. But this time, the PC starts the Preparing Automatic Repair, then screen goes black, where normally it should be showing diagnosing your pc before loaded the Automatic Repair screen.

What should I attempt to try next?

 

Cannot boot laptop from USB, gets stuck in a Preparing Automatic Repair loop

Hello,

I was using my laptop yesterday (an HP Omen) and it suddenly went to a black screen with
no visible cursor. I tried restarting it, and it was fixed until it happened again a couple of hours later. After I had restarted it again, it went into automatic repair mode. It has been stuck like this, alternating between automatic repair and a
black screen, with the white circles rotating for a half second before freezing.

No matter what I do, I cannot progress past this screen.

I've tried the following:

• Using F11 to get into the recovery menu - doesn't work, just takes me back to automatic repair after a "please wait" message
• Waiting - no luck, obviously
• Removing the battery - I can't because there is a screw with a worn down head on the laptop case
• Diagnostics - there are no hardware issues from what I can tell
• Booting from a USB - installed windows ISO on a 16GB Lexar USB using, on two separate occasions, both the Windows Media Creation tool AND Rufus. Neither work. I've changed the boot order, I've used legacy mode, disabled secure booting, etc. No luck at all.

When I boot from USB, it just takes me to a Preparing Automatic Repair screen, which then transitions to a screen with the Omen logo, which then repeats ad nauseum. The light on the USB does
flash, but only for a couple of seconds.

Any help? I'm at a total loss here.

EDIT: Just to clarify, the warranty is expired and this computer is nearing 4 years old.
