Stuck on Startup Repair screen on booting up my PC

Upon starting up my PC as I usually do, instead of being brought to the sign in screen, I was sent to a screen called “Startup Repair.” I clicked on my account and tried entering my Microsoft account password but only to be told that “The password is incorrect. I tried going to the password reset webpage for my account on a seperate device, changed the password, only still to be greeted with same message stating that my password was incorrect. After attempting this to no avail, I clicked on the prompt saying “Forgot password or don’t se

Stuck in startup repair boot loop, C drive is in RAW

I am not getting that error now. So I don't remember the exact words. Now after 'preparing for automatic repair' and spinning dots, windows starts and I see this screen.

Windows Vista Startup Problem ( Dual Boot)

I've got a dual boot set up on my computer, with Windows XP Professional 32bit & Vista Ultimate 64bit.

I haven't booted into Vista for quite some time now because I get better performance from XP. But now, if I try to boot into Vista, it goes through until after the Welcome screen & just gets stuck on a black screen with the pointer showing.

I have tried repairing the startup using the Vista CD.

    Any suggestions?
