Windows 10: Stuck on W10 10041 when updating to 10074

Hi,

Apparently I am stuck on 10041 without being able to update. I always get an error when updating in applying PC settings. My specs: 4790k, 16GB ram, boot drive Samsung 256 SSD with around 140 GB free, video card TitanX.
I tried updating via Windows Update and via ISO file. The same problem.
What happens is the first part goes OK to 30%, it restarts and then hangs on aplying PC settings at 4% (31% blue circle) for about 10 mins goes to 50% in 4 seconds, restarts and then restores to previous version (10041).
The last try via ISO, the error was the one in the screen shot. Any thoughts?
I would really hate to do a fresh install with everything I have...

Stuck in Build 10041

I have been stuck in Build 10041 for about a month. I can’t install build 10074, it goes to about 95 percent of install and then fails and the reverts back to 10041 The entire process takes about 3 hours is it possible to skip that build and installed
a newer build?

 

w 10 problem with activation and unable to go back to w7

installed w10 build 10074 over my original w7. could not activate and would not work with my canon 6700d printer
installed w10 build 10240 over the 10074. worked with my printer but still could not activate
waited for official roll out. still could not activate
tried to reset to original w7. would only reset to w10 build 10074. would not activate
upgraded back to w10 build 10240. will not activate
I now have a computer with none of my files or programs and a operating system that will not activate. I want either an activated w10 or my original activated w7.
please advise how you can help me

Did you do any reg tweaking on 10041?
You might be able to get through the update but the way it's doing right now you might end up with buggy update. Since you have the ISO, just do a clean install of 10074.
