Windows 10: Stuck On Windows 10 Lock Screen After clicking on search option at center of lock screen.

When I am on Windows Lock screen and click on the search option at center of Lock Screen, the laptop screen freezes and have to restart the PC to login to PC. It only happens if I click on Search bar in the middle of screen else everything works fine.

I suggest you to follow the steps below to set the lock screen option as Windows Spotlight and check if it helps.

1. Right click on Desktop screen.

2. Then click on Personalize.

3. Click on Lock Screen.

4. Try to select Windows Spotlight from the list.

• When you say that "I can't activate it again.", are you referring that you are not able to Activate Windows 10?
• What are the troubleshooting steps which you have performed to resolve the issue?

1. Right click on Desktop screen.

2. Then click on Personalize.

3. Click on Lock Screen.

Slow lock screen

might add- simply disable the Lock screen. Other than a pretty picture with the date/time, it's a superfluous step to starting up to.
