    I seem to be stuck on Windows 10 v20H2 (OS Build 19042.630).

    This is the error that has been resulting for at least a week now when trying to apply the KB4592438 update. I've done my GoogleFu and tried a variety of "fixes."

    SFC fails with an error 998 - no luck

    DSIM fails with something about not having permission

    I've tried both of these via SafeMode(s).

    I tried installing the patch by downloading manually.

    I tried an in-place upgrade, but am stuck with the only option to keep "NOTHING" which seems like a known error without a fix.

    So am I left with only the option to do a clean install?

    The above two installed successfully. I observed that the Cumulative update installation ran to 100% and then a second run installation ran to 100%. Is this normal?

    KB4586781 CU Windows 10 v2004 build 19041.630 and v20H2 19042.630 Win Update

    2 things.

    1- You may need to install the Servicing stack first. KB4586864 listed up top. Then the CU
    2- go to properties and unblock it.
