Windows 10: Stuck Restart loop after network reset

After trying to network reset my pc, I let it do its thing and when it restarted, I keep getting “automatic restart windows has ran into a problem” I tried turning off automatic restart on computer error. Trying to run safe mode, cmd prompt, or reseting the computer leads to the password, which I give, then proceeds to say wrong password. I assume is because im not connected to WiFi.


Any ways to fix this issue would be appreciated

stuck restart loop after attempting to reset network setting

I have a surface pro4 with Windows 10. I had just updated my system to the Creator Windows 10 edition a couple of days ago and I would get internet at home but not at my university campus. I needed to upload an exam from my school but had no internet so
I went to reset the network setting and the computer restarted. The IT person that was helping me wouldn't let it restart on its own and instead forced a shutdown by holding down the power button. Ever since then, when I press the power to start it on, I make
it to the log in screen, I type in my password, and then I am stuck in the loading screen. Shortly thereafter, I get a orange box that says "Your PC will automatically restart in one minute. Windows ran into a problem last time and needs to restart." Now it
is just perpetually stuck in this restart loop and I can't get out of it.

I have tried the 2 button reset (power button for 30 sec and power + up vol buttons together for 15s) and now it just gets me to the Surface UEFI screen. I have changed Secure Boot Configuration to Microsoft only and restarted to no avail. And I get the
same restart loop when I use the microsoft & 3rd party CA to restart. I cannot seem to get out of this loop. Anyone please help as I have an exam in one week. Thank you in advance.

 

BSOD Loop restart.


I've been experiencing startup issues with my PC since last night. I go to startup and startup freezes. It seems that something is either stuck or freezing up on loading. Since it doesn't fully boot up, I have been hitting the reset button or holding the power button. It appears that this has made the problem worse. I went to startup this morning and am getting the same thing. Did the same steps of hitting reset and or holding the power button to shutdown. After this I am getting BSOD that keeps restarting and BSOD in a loop. The next boot loaded with repair options. I attempted to do startup repair and have been unsuccessful. How to get out of BSOD restart loop? Thanks!

Computer stuck in a restart loop

Hi there,

Whilst trying to resolve a home router issue my broadband providers advised me to reset my network settings. Since then my computer has been stuck in a restart loop. Every time I log in within a minute I get a message saying my computer will restart in one
minute to fix an error last time. Sometimes it doesn't even finish logging in.

I've tried to use the troubleshoot start up options but most of these require the password which I have forgotten. I have reset this on another device but the new password is not recognised, presumably because I still can't get my computer online. If anyone
has any suggestions please feel free to share - beyond always keeping a note of your password that is....
