Windows 10: Stuff from my "new" context music disappeared.

Problem with New Context Menu

The option to add a new Rich Text File seems to have disappeared from my Context Menu and I'm not sure why.

I'm not computer savvy, but after a bit of Googling I read how you can add and delete options from the New Context Menu though the Registry Editor. When I went to check it the .rtf folder under HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT still has it's ShellNew folder so I'm not
sure what the issue is or if perhaps there's something wrong with it. I also found a tool to easily enable/disable file types on the New Context Menu, and .rtf is listed along with everything else and checked off as "enabled" but for some reason is not showing
up, even after I tried disabling and enabling it a couple of times. This is extremely frustrating as that's the file type I use the most.

Any suggestions as to what the problem is or how to fix it?

 

My Stuff disappeared

No, actually this description does not touch on the phenomenon that we were discussing, i.e. why some computers have My Stuff listed on the bottom of the search area and some have the individual icons for files, apps, music, internet, photos, videos etc. Of course I might be thick, but I read both links and I did not see this phenomenon mentioned.

Mm, could you explain a little more?

For example, have you just upgraded to Win 10 and you've lost some files? Had an update? Done something to one of your disks?

Where was your music? On what device or where on your PC's disk?

Do you have any backups?

Please tell us what happened step by step from having your music to when you realised your music had gone.

Please use explorer. Navigate to the folder where you expect your music to be.
Post one or more screenshots of what you see, showing the files and folders. (Using the icon above to the left of the video icon)
