Windows 10: Stuttering with graphical and audio distortion.(During network usage)

Hello all,

I recently upgraded to new mobo and i7-7700k, and switched to windows 10. I have noticed that I get significant audio and graphical stuttering and distortion, which seems to happen worse during network usage. Below is a short 35 second analysis from LatencyMon, which highlights a severe stuttering/distortion event. Any help is solving this is greatly appreciated.

WIndows 10 audio problems

I am having similar issues with the audio glitching/stuttering as well. I have a Toshiba Satellite C650D. Sometimes it sounds perfect, but then other times it starts glitching and stuttering during YouTube videos, gaming, music, anything that involves
the audio.

Any help would be appreciated.

 

Service host : local service (No Network) (3)

It's not 15%, between both instances of Service Host (i.e. Service Host: Local Service (No Network) (3) and
Service Host: Internet Connection Sharing (ICS)), the consumption is 25% to 30%.

I'm not sure what these processes are doing, but someone tweaked the code during the last creator's update and now they won't chill out. When I try to stream HD video, the audio and video stutter and go out of sync. My laptop is 7 years old using a 1st generation
Core i5. Non-stop 30% usage is a huge drain on performance.

 

Hi, you may like to search the forum for threads including 'stutter' - there are a number. You may find a clue there.

 

My latency mon is perfect, even with Edge open and on line.
As your problems, apparently, are only with on-line issues; does it do it with ANY on-line application or just with specific applications?

I unfortunately changed multiple variables at once, and thus cannot be certain which was the resolution. But here are the two things I did:

Updated Asus 270m-plus mobo bios.
Updated audio and lan drivers (new releases came out last month)
Updated Intel RST, and enabled it within BIOS.

So far, things seem to be resolved. The stuttering, network lag, audio and graphical distortion, and multi-window video streaming is much improved.

I hope this information can assist someone else to resolve their problems.
