  1. Subject: Issue with Admin Account Password Prompt in Windows 11

Hello Microsoft Support,I am facing a critical issue on my Windows 11 laptop. I have two accounts, one standard and one administrator. The admin account is password-protected, but when I try to log in, the password prompt option doesn't appear. Instead, the standard account automatically opens without requiring a password.I have already tried troubleshooting by enabling safe mode, but the issue persists. Additionally, the Alt + Ctrl + Del option on the lock screen is not functioning. It's important to note that my admin account may have been linked to a Microsoft ID for login.I would appreciate

    :)

  3. Cannot acces admin Account, Password could not be accessed

    Hi,

Here are a few steps you can try to regain access to your main admin account:

    1. Use System Restore: You can try using System Restore to roll back your system to a previous point in time when your main admin account was accessible. To do this, boot into Safe Mode with Command Prompt, and type "rstrui.exe" to launch System Restore. Select a restore point prior to when you made changes to the drive letters, and follow the prompts to restore your system.
    2. Use a password reset disk: If you created a password reset disk for your main admin account before you encountered this issue, you can use it to reset your password and gain access. To do this, boot your computer from the password reset disk, follow the prompts, and create a new password for your account.
    3. Use the command prompt: You can try using the command prompt to reset your main admin account password. To do this, boot into Safe Mode with Command Prompt, and type "net user [username] *". Replace "[username]" with your main admin account's username. Follow the prompts to create a new password for your account.
If none of these steps work, you may need to consider reinstalling Windows.

    Regards

    Shuaib

    Lost My Administrator Password

To which "this" are you referring?
    - If you are following the tutorial Bree suggested in the very first reply to your question then what you need to do at each step is explained in detail. So which step are you at?
    - If you are following a different procedure then state what it is and which step you are at. If, for example, you are trying to manually enable the Built-In Admin as suggested in post #11 then that account has no password.
