Windows 10: Subject: Urgent Help Needed: Critical Backup Folders Missing After Laptop Crash

My laptop recently crashed, and fortunately, it was backed up by a technician for saving everything in a folder on my C: drive. I didn't move the folders from my backup folder, and yesterday I noticed a shortcut to the backup on my desktop. I ignored it until today when I restarted my laptop and tried to access one of the folders in my backup. It said, "Location is not found." To my horror, several large folders have been wiped away from my backup. These folders contain vital parts of my life, and I'm devastated. Would suggest checking for updates for the softwares listed and installing updates if available.

 

Laptop no longer hibernates on critical power

Hi Mike,

The laptop's battery is possibly wearing out. Since you haven't change any settings, we suggest that you change the critical battery level a bit higher so that your laptop can perform a hibernation on a much higher percentage than the default. Follow the
steps below:

• Type Power Options on the Start menu search bar.
• Under Battery, click on Critical battery level.
• Chang the default percentage to 10% or higher.
• Click on Apply.
