I’m reaching out to express a pressing concern regarding Windows 11’s management of shared GPU memory, specifically the way it allocates 50% of system RAM to integrated graphics by default. In my case, this means that 24 GB out of my 48 GB RAM is reserved as shared GPU memory, even when I’m running standard productivity and web applications. This default behavior has led to persistent memory contention between GPU needs and background or non-graphics-related processes. Shared GPU memory is usually dynamic, it doesn't consume your RAM all the time. You can't change it, Windows allocates according to the actual situation, it won't cause you to run out of RAM.

 

Re allocating GPU Memory without having to go into bios

So I own a Asus Vivobook laptop and I was wondering if I could re allocate my GPUs memory without going into bios since my bios doesnt have a GPU configuring I cant re allocate it and its quite inconvient since I need more Dedicated GPU Memory and need less
of Shared GPU memory since im more into gaming and yea can anyone help me please
