Windows 10: success note (not a problem)

16 gig optane memory/ 12 gig ram 1 t hdd/ 500 gig sdd
windows 10 pro 1903
I pulled the optane memory out of the m2 slot and replaced it with a 500 gig m2 evo.
Added another 8 gig stick ram to boost to 16 gig.
unplugged the hdd and restored an image using Macrium on to the m2.
Worked like a charm . Didn't even have to reactivate it.

One thing if changing the m2 USE a magnetic screwdriver as the screw is tiny.

Sticky Note Missing

1.- Open >> Sticky notes, when located on the taskbar (Right click on the option) >> Select: List of Notes, now check if your note is in that list.

2.- Follow the steps suggested by the Windows MVP in your article

Windows 10 1709 System Restore problems...


That seems to be an attempt at Option 2 in the tutorial, which requires you to
a. Boot to a command prompt (Did you?)
b. You then seem to be mixing steps 3,4 and 5, thus your command is incorrect.

I suggest Option 1 is easier.

If you still have problems, please repost listing each specific step and saying which option from the tutorial you are using. Thanks.

 

Sticky Note Error?

Hi,

To further help you with your concern about the sticky note, we suggest using System File Checking in Windows 10. Kindly follow the steps below:

• Right-click (or press and hold) the Start button, then select Command Prompt (Admin)
• Enter sfc /scannow (note the space between "sfc" and "/").
